Born to a mother who was a nurse and a father who was a machinist, I grew up immersed in a world where care, precision, and craftsmanship were deeply valued. From a young age, I felt an innate curiosity about the human body—its mysteries, resilience, and incredible capacity for healing. This natural fascination, combined with the craft of my parents, ignited a lifelong exploration of how we move, heal, and connect with our physical selves. My work has always been driven by the desire to understand the root causes of dysfunction—traveling upstream from the symptoms to uncover and address the source of the issue, ultimately guiding individuals toward greater ease and joy in their bodies. It’s a calling that has shaped my life’s work and continues to fuel my passion for understanding and honoring the body’s innate wisdom.
Yoga entered my life in my teens, sparking a deep connection to movement, self-awareness, and holistic health. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to the lifelong study of anatomy and movement. My education in the yoga world crosses diverse traditions—from the precision of Iyengar to the dynamic vitality of Ashtanga, the deep stillness of Yin, and the restorative healing arts. I hold a degree in Neuromuscular Therapy and have pursued extensive studies in a variety of bodywork and biomechanics disciplines, including craniosacral principles, structural integration, hypermobility-informed yoga, myofascial release, sports therapy, rehabilitation, Daoist movement, and functional anatomy. My practice and teaching have been shaped by immersive experiences across the U.S., India, Costa Rica, and Europe, grounding me in a wide range of philosophical and physical approaches to embodiment.
Driven by a passion for integration, I created Empowered Pelvis, an eight-week program that combines pelvic floor education with yoga, somatic, and spiritual perspectives. This program is rooted in the latest medical research and a deep passion for pelvic health. Through my work, I bridge modern science with time-honored wisdom to offer a comprehensive, multidimensional approach to pelvic awareness and empowerment. Collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, shamans, and embodiment specialists, I aim to guide individuals in reconnecting with their bodies—empowering them to heal, strengthen, and restore balance in a holistic way.
I believe the body is the most sacred space (home) we’ll ever inhabit, and learning to live in and truly enjoy our bodies is key to a fulfilling life. My personal journey—including navigating pelvic floor dysfunction, two hip replacements, and the complexities of hypermobility and connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome—has given my work rare depth, authenticity, and compassion. These experiences haven’t limited me; they’ve deepened my understanding of the body’s resilience, adaptation, and the profound need for both scientific knowledge and intuitive care. My approach is rooted in lived experience, rigorous study, and the belief that true mastery comes through integration, humility, and embodied wisdom—not just certifications.
Today, I continue my lifelong exploration of the body’s intelligence, helping others uncover their own potential for healing, strength, and transformation.

These diverse perspectives have deeply enriched my practice and teaching, allowing me to support others with a wide range of issues—including total hip replacement, torn labrums, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and pelvic floor health. Over the past twenty years, I’ve pursued extensive training in a variety of therapeutic and movement modalities. From neuromuscular therapy and pelvic floor work to cranial sacral therapy, Daoist movement, Anatomy Trains, and yoga for hypermobility, each area has offered its own unique insights.I’ve also studied across multiple yoga traditions—yin, restorative, Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga…the list goes on. I’ve come to see each lineage as a thread in a greater tapestry—distinct, yet united in their wisdom. Much like different religions sharing core truths, every tradition has a seat at the table.
Below is a list of some of the trainings and practices I've immersed myself in over the years. While not complete, I’ve highlighted a few of my favorites—ones that continue to inform and inspire my work today.

Some of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in bodywork and movement have come through mentorship. My life and work have been shaped by the journey of turning physical challenges into opportunities for healing and growth. I believe one of life’s greatest gifts is learning to transform personal experiences into meaningful service. Having faced my own challenges—including pelvic floor dysfunction and a double hip replacement—I’ve gained valuable insight that now guides my practice. These experiences have become powerful catalysts for both personal and collective transformation. It’s my honor and purpose to turn that hard-earned wisdom into support for others—turning lead into gold in service to my community.
